The seal comes from an agreement between ACEPI (digital economy), DECO (consumer protection) and Associação DNS.PT, which awards it after auditing the website. Anyone who clicks the seal sees your website's certificate, with its status and date.

The seal sits on the home page and links to the website's public certificate: nobody has to take your word for it.
Complaints resolved online
Customers can use a free online platform to resolve complaints, without the cost or delays of going to court.

Websites with the Confio seal meet the requirements of the Ecommerce Europe seal, without paying for another audit.
What the audit checks.
The seal's Code of Conduct asks for more than the legal minimum. These are the groups of rules your website must meet.
Who sells, and on what terms
Company identification and contacts, prices with VAT, terms of sale and delivery, and the right of withdrawal.
Orders and payments
A clear ordering process with confirmation and acknowledgement of receipt, a detailed invoice and secure payment methods.
Complaints and disputes
A complaints system with a person in charge, replies on time and membership of an alternative dispute resolution scheme.
Privacy and security
A privacy policy, consent before collecting data, an encrypted connection and care with minors.
Domain and access
An own domain with redundant DNS and DNSSEC, and a website that is easy to navigate and accessible.

1Review
We check the website against the Code of Conduct and tell you, in writing, what it already meets and what is missing.
2Preparation
We sort out what is missing: legal pages, the Complaints Book and dispute resolution, privacy, price and order information, encrypted connection and domain.
3Application
We submit the application as official partners and follow up on the submission payment.
4Audit
Associação DNS.PT audits the website. We answer whatever it asks and fix what is needed.
5Seal on the website
Once the seal is awarded, we place it on the home page, linked to the certificate, and remind you of the renewals.
What the seal costs.
The fee is Confio's and depends on annual turnover. It is paid in two parts: the submission, when you apply, and the award, when the seal is granted.
Preparing the website is quoted separately, after the review.

- The submission fee is not refunded if the audit does not approve the website. That is why we prepare it before applying.
- 10% discount with 2 to 5 certified websites and 20% with more than 6. Renewals follow the same terms.
